8th Communiqué of the National Front Against the Coup d'etat

The National Front Against the Coup d'etat, made up of the different organized expressions in Honduras, in the face of the situation provoked by the coup d'etat, informs the rest of the population about is position with respect to this process of struggle for the transformation of the Honduran society to a participatory democracy. In this sense, we communicate:

• That in accordance with the meetings of the coordination of the Front we have planned a series of actions, which each local link knows and will give instructions in relation to the process of struggle against fascism in Honduras.

• We demand that the coup-plotters re-establish individual guarantees immediately, while these measures continue we are in a state of siege and of violation of the most elemental human rights, which in addition to affecting the impoverished population especially affects those who have small businesses and who work at night.

• We will not rest until we achieve the reinstatement of the institutional order guided by national and international legislation, the installation of a National Constitutional Assembly and a new Constitution of the Republic.

• It is important to assume with responsibility and transmit to the population from our organizations and spaces we can count on, the truth of what is happening in the country. Talking from person to person, house to house, to demystify the campaign of disinformation of the coup-makers about what is happening in the country.

• That the fascist coup-makers in Honduras are lost and they won't even show their faces, last night they did a radio and television program where they put up the coat of arms and the national flag. The coup-making traitors send a comission to the United States to negotiate and nobody attended to them, which demonstrates that they are drowning in their own water.

• To all of the Honduran people, keep up and continue the different actions of resistance against the fascists of the coup d'etat. All of the communities, municipalities and cities of the country are developing activities to achieve the reinstatement of the institutional order.
